Construction of Maturation warehouses, the ground consolidation works, and infrastructure were completed by Marshall Construction on the previous phase, awaiting the erection of the buildings when instructed. The new warehouses extend the clients existing warehouse provision on a site that has been established for many years. The site area was extended to accommodate the new structures and involved the construction of new access roads, fire roads and a new bridge. The warehouses were fully serviced with lighting, sprinkler system, fire detection and alarm system and with intruder alarms, lightning protection system and CCTV installation.
The ground conditions on the site required the use of Lime Consolidation Techniques to improve the bearing capacity of the ground. The structural steel frame was founded on reinforced ground bearing slab raft foundations. The building was clad in single skin plastic coated profiled metal sheeting.

The new infrastructure was required to be in place at an early stage in the operation to provide a suitable access route onto the site. The drainage and services were also installed early in the process all to ensure that a solid base could be provided to site the mobile
