Deanburn Primary School, Bo’ness

This building replaced the existing main school building that was destroyed by fire. It is believed to be the first of its kind in Scotland integrating a number of sustainable elements including a rainwater harvesting system, “breathing walls” using recycled newspaper as insulation and energy generation through its own Wind Turbine with a weather station adding another dimension to the learning process.
