This building was constructed within the Clients existing land and was required to replace their existing office and workshop buildings combining them within this new facility. The existing buildings were demolished when the new premises were occupied. This facility provided office and welfare facilities on two floors and a single storey workshop facility within a steel frame structure. The different functions of the building were accentuated using different shades of cladding.
The ground conditions were suitable for standard concrete pad and strip foundations to support the structural steel frame which was covered with metal cladding. The first floor of the office accommodation was in-situ concrete cast on metal decking. The partitions were formed using metal stud and were fire rated where appropriate. The building was fully equipped and decorated on handover.
