This Design & Build contract was for the construction of 41 affordable new build timber framed houses and flats on a brownfield site, the location of a former ropewalk.
All homes are fitted with a mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) unit, enabling them to reach a “Bronze” level of sustainability. The site was located close to the main Glasgow-Gourock electrified railway line, and liaison with Network Rail was required before any work close to the boundary.
