DSC_2886Marshall Construction has recently secured a double contract win worth almost £1m as the General Building Division continues to grow.

The two refurbishment contracts were won at the University of  Stirling – Student Residences Refurbishment (Friarscroft) and Student Union/Nightclub.

Marshall Construction were appointed last year to the University of Stirling’s framework that delivers various joinery and building works to commercial and residential buildings, both internally and externally for the University of Stirling.  Marshall Construction was up against serious competition with a high number of contractors in the bidding process.

Both projects are now underway and consist of intensive alterations and refurbishment of existing buildings – which includes significant mechanical and electrical works, replacement of windows and refurbishment of external building envelope.  To minimise disruption works are taking place during the summer vacancy period.

Douglas Smith, Chartered Quantity Surveyor commented:  “Marshalls have significant expertise within the education sector and we look forward to building on our long term collaborative relationship with the University of Stirling.  As a reputable contractor we are delighted to have been awarded these contracts – Our proven experience in this field equips us to deliver these projects to a high standard.  We take immense pride in our work and try to ensure everybody in the community benefits from our presence.  These projects will deliver top quality accommodation and relaxing surroundings for the students and hopefully we are having a positive effect on many more people along the way.”
