Coca Cola Appoints Marshall Construction

Marshall Construction was recently awarded a £1.7m contract by Coca Cola European Partners for works at their East Kilbride Plant. The project was secured after a successful competitive tender process and will provide increased production capacity within the existing facility.

The project will create space for two new production lines by converting a section of their existing Warehouse into a food safe production area.  The works consist of forming the new space by using food safe composite wall panels which span from Stainless Steel Kerbs to the underside of the existing roof. The existing slab will be broken out and a new drainage system installed, and the existing slab overlaid with a new concrete slab laid to falls. The ceiling will be lined new roller shutter doors formed and a new Mechanical and Electrical systems installed. A mezzanine floor will be constructed, and food safe resin and tiled floor coverings laid.  It is intended to have the works complete to allow the new lines to be operational early in the New Year.
