Marshall Construction start on site in Tillicoultry….

Anne Street, TillicoultryWork has started on a new affordable housing project created through a partnership between Clackmannanshire Council, Kingdom Housing Association & Hub East Central Scotland.
The £2m Ann Street, Tillicoultry project was recently awarded to Marshall Construction which will provide 21 new homes for social rent on the site of the former Community Centre which was demolished in 2013.
There is a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom homes being provided and the majority (17) have been designed as single storey amenity bungalows. The remaining 4 new homes are cottage flats.
All the properties have been designed to high energy efficiency standards in accordance with Building Regulations Silver Standard of Sustainability and Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems are being installed to optimise indoor air quality to help create a healthier environment.
Robert Marshall, Managing Director commented: “We are delighted to have been selected to build this project which will provide much-needed high-quality social homes for local residents, as well as valuable job opportunities.
