This is contract for the construction of 150 affordable flats and townhouses plus offices for Dunbritton Housing Association on the site of the former Ballantine’s Distillery. The majority of the buildings are timber framed, although the block containing the housing association offices has some structural steel. The exterior walls are facing brick and the roof coverings will be concrete tiles on the houses and standing seam steel sheets on the flats.
There was also the construction of a new riverside walkway working in conjunction a specialist contractor to upgrade the harbour wall and existing revetments.
